You will get paid a percentage of the labor fee for each HVAC job you perform. Ensuring you have the required tools to work efficiently will help you boost your earnings.

Mendr does all the customer marketing to ensure a steady stream of HVAC jobs — when you want it.
Mendr will take care of the scheduling, invoicing, and taxes. You just need to focus on delivering excellent service and repair.
When parts are needed, Mendr will order and ship directly to the customers’ location—no need for you to keep inventory in your vehicle or make a run to the parts house.
Mendr will cover each job you perform with liability insurance*.
*Service professionals pay a small fee per job to cover the cost of insurance.

To join the Mendr platform as an HVAC technician, you must provide proof of a current HVAC journeyman license in the state where you will perform services for the Mendr platform.
Yes, you will be responsible for accessing a reliable, insured vehicle. Your vehicle should be able to hold the recommended tools to complete HVAC services and repairs.
You will be responsible for having the tools needed to diagnose and complete the job. The following tools are recommended:
- Refrigerant gauges
- Multimeter
- Thermometer/Temperature gun
- Vacuum pump
- Reclaim machine
- Core removal tool
- Nitrogen regulator
- Leak detector
- Manometer/Magnehelic
- Psychrometer
- Refrigerant scale
To become a Mendr professional, you must pass a background check.
When a job requires parts, you will submit the order through the Mendr Pro Portal, and they will be shipped directly to the customer’s home. You will schedule a follow-up appointment with the customer for when the parts are estimated to arrive at the customer’s home.
No, each job you do through the Mendr platform is covered by Mendr’s liability insurance. Mendr Pros can find more information on liability insurance in the Mendr Pro Agreement. This insurance protects your work, and you must have insurance on your vehicle.
To begin, you will earn 55% of the labor fee for each job—up to approximately $80* per hour. As you do more jobs on the Mendr platform and get high customer ratings and reviews, this percentage can increase to 70% of the labor fee for each job or up to approximately $100* per hour.
*Hourly rates may fluctuate based on market economic conditions.
Provide information about where you would like your payouts directly deposited in the Mendr Pro Portal. Mendr uses bank-level encryption to ensure any financial information you share is secure.
You will get paid every Friday. Each paycheck will be for jobs from the previous seven days that have had the customers’ payment process. A summary of jobs included in a payout can be found in the Mendr Pro Portal.

As a Mendr Service Tech, you can set your own hours and work as much or as little as you would like on any day that you like—even nights and weekends, if you prefer. You can select and edit your availability in the Mendr Pro Portal.
You will be notified of jobs from Mendr through a text message which will include a link to the job details, such as the time, address, and any notes the customer provided.
As a Mendr HVAC professional, you will be a 1099 contract worker.
No, Mendr HVAC professionals are 1099 contractors and will not be provided benefits from Mendr.
